Turtlefest is all about celebrating our community and the people and places that make it special. Here are some additional venues that will get you in the Turtlefest spirit. Contact event organizers for details.

Annandale National Historic Site

Annandale National Historic Site was built by E.D. Tillson, first mayor of Tillsonburg—and son of Tillsonburg's founder, George Tillson. It is considered the best surviving example of the Aesthetic Arts movement, popularized by Oscar Wilde. During Turtlefest, you can tour the property, plus enjoy a variety of activities inside and outside the home. This is a FREE event!

Outdoor Movie

Bring your blanket or your lawn chair and enjoy The Lego Movie 2 on the lawn at the museum.  Running time of film 1 hour 47 minutes.

Scales Nature Park Turtle Display

Come see live turtles and talk to the staff of Scales Nature Park to learn all about the turtles you can find in Ontario.

Skunk Haven and Another Chance Wildlife Rehabilitation

Join Laurel A. Beechey of Skunk Haven who’ll bring educational licensed Scooter the Skunk to the lawn, along with Carol Clark of Another Chance Wildlife Rehabilitation who’s bringing educational licensed Chance the screech owl and Butch the Skunk.

Annandale Kindergarten Story Walk® and Lemonade Stand

Have fun walking around the lawn of Annandale House as you discover the story of Mossy by children’s author Jan Brett – end your walk at the lemonade stand where the proceeds help to buy playground equipment for the kindergarten area of Annandale Public School

Turtle Pursuit

Oh no! Our turtles have decided to take a stroll through the Annandale House, and we need your help to count them all. Come join us in a scavenger hunt. Winners to find all of the turtles will receive a prize!

Yertle the Turtle Stacking challenge and Stories

The Tillsonburg Public Library while they share turtle stories, test your skills with a "Yertle the Turtle Stacking Challenge", and to send you home with your very own turtle! While you're visiting, be sure to pick up the information about this year's Summer Reading Club, and don't forget to fill out a ballot for the chance to win some “turtley” awesome prizes!

Tillson Tales &  Games

It’s story time with Tillsonburg’s founders. Grandpa George and Grandma Tillson tell tales of settling Tillsonburg almost 200 years ago and the origins of Turtlefest. Geared to children

Station Arts Centre  

Saturday, June 15

The Station Arts Centre, located in two historic train stations in downtown Tillsonburg, is the community's creative arts hub, and home to the weekly Tillsonburg Farmers' Market. During Turtlefest, the Station hosts the Turtley Treats Baking Contest. Admission is always FREE.

Tillsonburg Turtlefest

Turtlefest is Tillsonburg’s biggest community festival. Held every Father’s Day weekend, this three-day event encourages people from all over Ontario to come out of their shell and experience small-town living at its finest.
